My whole life I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian — but I could never have imagined the path that would lead me to becoming one of the most highly sought-after mobile integrative acupuncture + rehab vets in Los Angeles.
My career-defining moment came early on, at a general practice in West Los Angeles. Despite practicing the highest standard of medical care for my patients, I became disheartened by western medicine’s limitations and found clinical practice to be lacking in the prevention of chronic disease.
I felt there had to be more modalities to address the root of my patients’ problems, and that conventional training was not enough for the level of care that I wanted for my patients.
I’d developed a severe migraine at work and an acupuncturist offered to treat me. It might as well have been magic, because in about 20 minutes it completely resolved my migraine unlike any medication had ever been able to do.
I was able to go see my next patient without missing a beat — and with more energy than before.
I realized that if this worked for me, it could work for my patients, too.
This additional training was game-changing.
I enjoy working with conventional veterinarians to create an integrative approach to manage their patients’ conditions. Utilizing my advanced skill set that includes acupuncture, laser therapy, rehab therapy, Chinese herbals, and nutrition optimization, my treatments are designed to improve and enhance patient outcomes.
Treating a pet in this manner, in their own home, creates an environment that is devoid of anxiety or fear, and one that is truly ideal for healing.
